Who we are:
About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Supervisor to oversee the efficient operation of autonomous vehicles (AVs) from Gatik’s remote stations. As a key member of our operations team, you will monitor and guide AVs over the entire trip, while working cross functionally across the organization to support AV testing and deployment. Given your crucial role, you will be expected to uphold utmost professionalism, keen attention to detail and exercise sound judgment in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor AV Operations and diligently observe real-time data from AVs to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently.

Respond to AV initiated requests for guidance; respond and resolve those in a timely and safe manner including escalation of operational issues to relevant personnel.

Maintain clear and timely communication with ground teams, dispatch teams, and other stakeholders as required, including law enforcement and other first responders.

Collaborate closely with technical teams, testing teams, user experience teams to explain issues and provide iterative feedback as required.

Analyze vehicle performance data and provide reports on incidents, performance metrics, and improvement opportunities.

Ensure all operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, safety standards and best practices.

Identify and troubleshoot issues with AV systems or routes, providing solutions or escalating to appropriate teams.

Stay updated on the latest AV technology, software updates, and industry trends. Participate in ongoing training programs.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum 3 years driving experience with a box truck

Possess a valid Commercial Drivers Licence without any major infractions

Clean driving record, background check and drug screen
-
Proficiency in computer systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong observational skills and the ability to monitor multiple systems simultaneously.

Ability to think critically and make decisions in high-pressure situations while maintaining calm.

Ability to work non-standard hours to cover various time zones and rotating shifts.

Ability to monitor our vehicles remotely 6-8 hours per shift
Bonus Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Transportation, etc.) or equivalent experience is a plus but not required
-
Prior experience in autonomous driving, testing or similar field

Experience as a remote command center operator or simulator experience

Knowledge of DOT regulations and FMCSA rules is a plus
-
Knowledge of vehicle dynamics and traffic management
-
Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques
-
Aptitude for technology tools such as gaming, apps etc.

Positive attitude and passion for autonomous vehicles is a plus
