JOB SUMMARY
As the Associate Marketing Manager at Sunnyside, you’ll lead performance and growth marketing strategies for promotions and ticket growth in the East region, focused on scalable revenue-driving and customer growth tactics through direct response owned marketing channels. Reporting directly to the Sr Regional Marketing Manager, you will support national and regional campaign strategies by balancing the analytical and tactical skills with creative and brand storytelling to ensure creative assets are produced and that campaigns are published, optimized and performing above industry standards. This role will be pivotal in shaping and executing marketing strategies that elevate our brand presence nationally and locally. The roles and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, developing marketing strategies and campaigns, briefing creative teams, evolving the digital regional strategy and driving traffic to Sunnyside* Dispensaries. As an integral part of our marketing team, you will work closely with various departments to lead implementation of cohesive and impactful campaigns that resonate with the East region’s target audiences and drive key business objectives.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Be the #1 champion of the east region of Sunnyside* including creation & ownership of brand guidelines, brand positioning and identification, development of regional promotional campaigns, and localizing markets with national campaigns.
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans and regional strategy, from briefing the creative teams to activating across our owned channels.
- Collaborate with Sr. Regional Marketing Manager, Brand, eCommerce, CRM, and wholesales teams to build strong channel strategies, to implement and own the development of associated creative and execution of regional campaigns.
- Develop internal communication plans to energize partners in the field and retail operations, gaining buy-in and support of national programming priorities.
- Evaluate and report on campaign performance, sales metrics, market trends, competitive activity, consumer insights and other data to make recommendations to ongoing brand projects and strategy.
- Manage regional-related marketing expenses and vendor estimates and scopes to manage within the regional retail marketing budget.
- Grow your knowledge regularly through team member 1:1’s, research and identify opportunities to share best practices with the broader team.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Minimum 3 years of relevant marketing experience, preferably in retail, consumer, wholesale brand or related marketing.
- Must demonstrate ability to lead and build a consumer-facing brand.
- Proven track record of leading marketing initiatives in a retail or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing and omni-channel principles, including content strategy, brief writing, content production/development and brand storytelling.
- Proven project management skills can prioritize and activate multiple campaigns amongst multiple owned channels including social media, CRM and eCommerce.
- Entrepreneurial and team-oriented spirit that views problems as solutions waiting to happen.
- High performer that thrives in environments with minimal process and structure and comfort with managing through ambiguity.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. You can motivate and lead cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional creativity. Knows how to pull together multiple visual concepts into a cohesive creative plan. Stays grounded in market knowledge and customer insights.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and sales trends to inform decision making.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Genuine passion for marketing and the cannabis industry.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

COMPENSATION
In accordance with any local and state compensation laws, the estimated range of compensation is $60,000 - $65,000. Final offer details and future compensation may be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to, geographic location, market compensation data, skills, experience and other relevant factors.
