About your role:

  • Serve as escalation point for regulatory compliance inquiries.
  • Review and advise on background check documents, professional license, and other healthcare professional credentials.
  • Provide hiring recommendations based on application of relevant laws, policies, and regulations.
  • Support research projects and compliance audit initiatives.
  • Conduct legal research and advise on findings as appropriate.
  • Ensure timely and compliant reporting in accordance with state-specific guidelines.
  • Monitor and communicate regulatory changes impacting relevant industry.
  • Identify and review compliance obligations and support development for infrastructure expansion.
  • Draft, revise, and implement policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, JD from an accredited law school preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare compliance or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent research and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to formulate compliance policies, procedures, and related documentation.
  • Understanding of HIPAA, data privacy, FCRA, and healthcare staffing requirements a plus.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and track tasks, as well as collaborate with others.
  • Ability to work across departments and synthesize and collect information from multiple sources.
  • Computer literacy required, including experience using Microsoft Office programs and SharePoint, with knowledge of advanced Word and Excel functions.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly.
