About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in developing our cutting-edge, browser-based application. In this position, you will work on a complex single-page application (SPA) built with React and TypeScript, pushing the boundaries of what's possible with frontend technologies.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain a high-performance, feature-rich React / TypeScript frontend
  • Implement complex functionalities and processing capabilities within the frontend, ensuring a seamless user experience
  • Work on projects from conception to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables
  • Optimize the frontend for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Work with the complexities of high quality and high performance video systems and the realities of the internet
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including ML and Backend Engineers, to integrate AI modules or other algorithms with specific requirements and constraints
  • Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the Iris Platform
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies and best practices, and incorporate them into the application as appropriate


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Frontend Engineer, with a strong track record of delivering complex, high-performance SPAs
  • Deep expertise in React and its ecosystem, including state management libraries
  • Experience optimizing frontend performance and implementing best practices for scalability
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively when faced with technical challenges
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote team environment
  • Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable code
  • Familiarity with WebRTC, WebAssembly, and WebGPU is a plus, comfort in working with all three is a must
