By bringing together the world’s largest network of clean energy developers, buyers, advisors, and financiers, and delivering the platform they need to move faster, LevelTen Energy is advancing our shared goal: accelerating the energy transition.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Product Designer at LevelTen Energy, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of renewable energy procurement. You will work closely with the Product & Design team and cross-functionally to design innovative solutions that meet the needs of our diverse customer base, including energy buyers, developers, and financiers. Your designs will help our customers make clear, data-driven decisions during the renewable energy procurement process.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Design: Lead the product design process from concept to completion, ensuring seamless integration and user experience of LevelTen’s data products across the entire platform.
- User-Centered Design: Conduct user research to gain deep insights into user needs and behaviors. Translate these insights into actionable design solutions that help make complex data easily understandable and accessible to our users.

- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure design alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
- Design Systems: Develop and maintain design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency across all product lines.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented design team environment.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years professional experience designing data-rich experiences for B2B customers and applications in a startup environment.
- Customer Focused: Deep empathy for users and a passion for understanding their needs to create intuitive and impactful design solutions for complex data.
- Nimble: Can balance between more elegant vs. scrappy, iterative solutions based on user and business needs.
- Orchestrator: Understands the art of prioritization and can break apart large projects into meaningful, smaller pieces.
- Storyteller: Intuitively understands how to craft communication mechanisms to best resonate with their audience.
- Team Player: Has strong partnership experience with product management and engineering — and can fluently speak to business and product needs and technical implications.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in design tools such as Figma. Familiarity with HTML and CSS is a plus. As well as familiarity with data visualization tools and libraries (e.g., Highcharts, Tableau) and basic understanding of data structures and databases.
- Innovative Mindset: A forward-thinker who is excited to leverage new technologies, such as AI, to enhance product design and user experience when interacting with data.
