Lead Product Designer

Location

London, England, United Kingdom

Salary

60000 - 120000 a year (Pound Sterlings)

Description

The mission for this role

As a Lead Product Designer you will be a senior individual contributor responsible for developing the design vision and delivering complex design projects at Attest. Your work will have a huge impact on how we build the future of research and in the process you will help set and elevate our design standards.

Your focus will be to…

  • Develop and deliver a design vision prioritising a great, coherent user experience, using the full range of your product design skills — from thinking about the overall strategy to designing the UI and interactions for those parts of the product.
  • Take potentially complex or ambiguous opportunities and collaborate with other disciplines (product, research, engineering, marketing, customer success) to turn them into problems you can solve iteratively with a squad.
  • Actively participate in building and improving design culture, processes, and ways of working across Attest. You will be passionate about evidence-based design culture. You will regularly share your work, being open to feedback.
  • The Lead Product Designer will be the voice of user centric design. You will continually be looking for ways to understand, capture, and solve our customers' needs, so we can improve their experience on the platform
  • Share your design knowledge and insight across the organisation, influencing a variety of stakeholders across Product, Tech and senior management.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to help other designers grow professionally and achieve their goals.

We’d love to hear from you if…

  • You have previously worked as a Lead Product Designer or Senior Product Designer, working within a business owning complex projects. Agency or consultancy experience may be relevant if you can evidence working on complex projects start to finish.
  • Ideally, you will have worked within a B2B SaaS environment previously, being able to appreciate the challenges and opportunities of working in this space.
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • You can articulate complex ideas and influence stakeholders at all levels. You can rationalise your design decisions, linking them to user needs and business goals.
  • You enjoy working in an open and collaborative environment, sharing your work early and often, taking the opportunity to educate other designers and wider team members, whilst taking what opportunity to continuously improve, exploring ways to do things better.
  • You are pragmatic. You pay attention to detail and care about design quality, but know when to prioritise speed of delivery
  • You demonstrate responsible autonomy. Where you see an opportunity for improvement or positive change, you speak up, share ideas and become part of the solution.
  • Results orientated with the ability to generate outcomes by taking the initiative and empowering autonomy to deliver outputs over inputs.

In-person and remote working balance ...

We are a collaborative bunch and know the value of solving problems together. We’ve adopted a hybrid working approach, where employees split their time between the office and their home / alternative place of work. Typically Attesters are in the office 2 days per week with the days and times in the office being agreed with the employee and the line manager based on the employee's preferences, workload and calendar which may vary week to week. Some Attesters come in more than twice a week and some come in less, it is about working autonomously to be at your best!

Across Product and Technology, Tuesdays and Thursdays are the most popular office days so if a member of team is working in the office that week, they will probably come in on those days rather than other days of the week so they can collaborate with their peers. However, we’re mindful that flexible working arrangements can make a big difference for a variety of reasons and encourage Attesters to let us know the best balance for them.
