We are looking for a Head of Property Operations to lead Bungalow’s property operations team. In this role, you will oversee our institutional and retail business segments, as well as the successful integration and ongoing management of acquired property management companies. Your leadership will be crucial in maximizing the performance of our current portfolio, onboarding new portfolios, and ensuring operational excellence across our business.

What you’ll do:
  • Ensure Bungalow’s operations meet or exceed best-in-class institutional-grade operating metrics as we onboard SFR and BTR portfolios.
  • Assess current personnel and dive into existing operational procedures across leasing, sales, homeowner relations, maintenance, etc.
  • Create a customized training and hiring plan for the next 3-6 months based on your assessment. This may involve training existing team members, hiring new ones, or a strategic combination of both.
  • Implement best practices within the acquired company, balancing change management needs and local procedures.
  • Provide direct leadership and mentorship to members of the acquired company, especially during the initial integration phase. Empower and develop the team towards independent operation.
  • Identify and cultivate a high-potential leader within each acquired company or through recruitment. Develop a plan to transition day-to-day operations to this leader.
  • Establish a scalable framework to manage a growing portfolio of acquired companies post-integration.
  • Proactively plan for and build out your team as you integrate new companies and reach growth milestones. Identify areas where additional central support is needed to maintain operational excellence.
  • Bring a perspective on how to make a BTR operations team highly successful, even if lacking direct BTR experience.


Who you are:
  • Proven experience in property operations, asset management, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
  • Experience with SFR and BTR portfolios is highly desirable.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
