KL University has established a new international academic partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wayne State University, USA. This collaboration aims to facilitate joint research initiatives and academic exchange programs.

This partnership will benefit students from both the universities through improved academic experiences and access to exchange programs beginning next semester. KL University students will gain pathways to continue their studies at Wayne State University, while Wayne State students will have opportunities to participate in academic exchange programs at KL University.

The agreement was formalized between the representatives of both the institutions. Dr. Nabil Chalhoub, Dean of Mechanical Engineering, and Dr. Leela Mohan Reddy, Dean of Civil Engineering from Wayne State University participated in discussions to identify collaborative opportunities for academic advancement.

"This visit has significantly enriched the research capabilities and intellectual growth of both our faculty and students. The discussions provided valuable insights into Wayne State University's expertise in various research domains, paving the way for a strong collaborative research partnership across multiple disciplines," said Dr. M. Kishore Babu, Dean of International Relations at KL University (KLEF).

The delegation from Wayne State who graced the event also provided valuable guidance to the students interested in studying in the United States. They shared information about higher education opportunities, global academic trends, and career planning.

This partnership adds to KL University’s vast portfolio of international collaborations. The University has also forged relations with a number of reputable institutions in Malaysia, the United States, Thailand and other countries. These collaborations reflect KL University’s strong commitment in fostering academic engagement through research initiatives, faculty exchange program, and student mobility.
