Salman Khan’s much-awaited Eid release, Sikandar, is set to hit theaters this festive season. On March 16, it was revealed that the official release date would soon be announced, along with an exclusive poster.
Shortly after the initial announcement, Bollywoodnewsflash reported that Sikandar would hit theaters on Sunday, March 30. The following day, the makers officially confirmed the release date by unveiling a poster.
It was revealed today, March 21, that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially cleared both the final cut of the film Sikandar and its trailer.
According to the CBFC certificate, the theatrical trailer for Sikandar runs for 3 minutes and 38 seconds, while the film's total runtime is 150.8 minutes, equivalent to 2 hours, 30 minutes, and 8 seconds.
As per the latest update, both the film and its trailer have been granted a UA 13+ certification by the CBFC. Interestingly, Sikandar is among the rare films to have its trailer and final version approved on the same day.
Now that the CBFC approval process is complete, the focus shifts to the trailer release, scheduled for Sunday, March 30. With the certification in place, theaters are also preparing to commence advance ticket bookings for the much-awaited movie.
CBFC Clears Salman Khan’s Sikandar Along with Its 3.38-Minute Theatrical Trailer
Sikandar mainly features a star-studded cast, including Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, and others. Helmed by A R Murugadoss, famed for his 2008 hit Ghajini, the film is produced under Sajid Nadiadwala’s banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
Ramzan Eid falls on Monday, March 31, and the post-Eid celebrations are expected to drive strong box office collections on Tuesday, April 1, and Wednesday, April 2, in many regions.
The movie is anticipated to see another significant boost in collections starting Friday, April 4, with strong performance expected to continue through Sunday, April 6.
