Sikandar is generating a lot of buzz among Bollywood fans, with its release less than two weeks away.
The excitement is building, particularly with superstar Salman Khan in the lead. Furthermore, the film is set to debut on Eid, a festival that has become closely linked to Salman’s films.
The promotional assets for the film initially only indicated "Eid 2025" as the release window.
Speculation within the industry pointed to potential release dates on Friday, March 28, Saturday, March 29, or Sunday, March 30. However, Bollywood Hungama has now revealed the confirmed release date.
Salman Khan’s Sikandar Confirmed On March 30th
This is what a source informed, "Sikandar is set to hit theaters on Sunday, March 30. The producers are certain that this is the ideal release date, as Sunday will be a significant holiday, particularly in Maharashtra, due to the celebration of Gudi Padwa. Additionally, Ramzan Eid will be observed the following day, Monday, March 31."
A holiday effect will carry over into Tuesday, April 1, and Wednesday, April 2, across various locations.
The film is expected to see another surge in collections beginning Friday, April 4, ensuring strong box office numbers through Sunday, April 6.
Salman Khan's last film, Tiger 3 (2023), also took an unconventional approach with its release on Sunday, November 12, 2023, aligning with Diwali. This timing allowed the film to take full advantage of the holiday aftereffects, helping it maintain strong box office performance.
Well, the official release date will be revealed by the makers on Wednesday, March 19. Fans can expect the much-anticipated trailer to drop over the weekend, with advance bookings likely to open at the same time.
Additionally, there are reports of a grand event being planned, which will help build even more anticipation for the film.
Sikandar also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi alongside Salman Khan. The film is helmed by director A R Murugadoss.
